I've been working on these designs for awhile now. There are three of them, each representing time and change.
They are based on Gaelic knots, which I really love the tradition and meaning of, and I think they came out very well.
This particular one is based on the triquetra, or the trinity knot.
Specifically it means creation, preservation, and destruction. It is done in acrylic on basic canvas, I wanted it to be a little sloppy around it's edges to give it a more natural feel. It seems like they came out well enough.
